The music contains a lot of swing and rhythm, while Michael and the other vocalists are spreading their words on how society is changing. Michael 's dark and brooding voice brings a vibe in which the lyrics and subjects gets a little bit more emphasis. Michael Franti is a spoken word artist and singer-songwriter who became famous by participating in some of the well-known projects from the hip hop scene. He was successful with The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy, before moving on as a social artist under the name Michael Franti & Spearhead.
