Hip-hop label Uncle Howie Records is home to Ill Bill & Nems, as well as Non Phixion, the group that Ill Bill belonged to. Non Phixion formed in Brooklyn in 1995, originally featuring Ill Bill, MC Serch, and Sabac Red. Rapper Goretex joined shortly after, and the foursome went on to release their first single, “Legacy,” the same year. This first release showed off the hip-hop quartet’s talents to the world and brought them one step closer to a deal with a major record label.
