After the commercial success of A Single Man, Elton, no stranger to the dancefloor, decided in 1979, to embrace the disco boom and record Victim of Love. Recorded with Pete Bellotte and Thor Baldursson – Giorgio Moroder’s right hand men – Victim of Love is the only Elton John album in which he had no hand in writing or playing on. It has, of course, become a much loved cult album.
