Soundgarden
Fronted by the late, great Chris Cornell, Soundgarden was one of the greatest 90s rock bands out there. Known for hits like “Black Hole Sun,” the band brought a distinct heavy metal flavor to a scene that was primarily dominated by grunge and alternative. As a result, they’re remembered as legends who kept rock and roll alive throughout the 90s with excellent LPs like Superunknown and Down On The Upside. Frontman Chris Cornell tragically passed away in the late 2010s, and fans mourned the loss of an undisputed musical genius and highly influential rock star.
