Joe Hisaishi
Joe Hisaishi has been working closely with renowned Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki since 1984. Working with Miyazaki as a film composer, Hisaishi has scored acclaimed animated movies like Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, and more. In addition to his work with Miyazaki, Hisaishi is also known for his frequent collaboration with Japanese actor, director, and game show host Takeshi Kitano. In addition, he also composed the scores for the two games in the Ni no Kuni series. These games featured animations created by Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki’s animation company.
