Highly Evolved, the debut album by Aussie alternative rock band The Vines, was first released by Capitol Records on July 14, 2002. To mark the 15th anniversary of its release, Capitol/UMe have reissued the album on vinyl, including a limited-edition blue-green starburst edition exclusively through The Sound of Vinyl. Singer/songwriter Craig Nicholls formed the band in 1994 in Sydney and forged a sound that was a hybrid of ‘60s garage-rock and ‘90s alternative grunge. The Vines were a sensation in their native country, and the group took home an ARIA Award in 2002 for Breakthrough Artist-Single for "Get Free".
