Judas Priest
Judas Priest was formed in 1969 in Great Britain by Al Atkins, John Partridge, Brian Stapenhill, and John Perry. Atkins provided highly theatrical, metal-inspired vocals for the group, Partridge held it down on the kit, Stepnhill played bass, and Perry served as lead guitarist. The band got their name from the song “The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest” by legendary American folk singer Bob Dylan.
